A native Memphian, Emma Kate joined ANF in June of 2016 after receiving a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Interior Design from Mississippi State University. HAIL STATE! While at MSU, she became a charter member and officer of Alpha Rho Chi, the fraternity for architecture and the allied arts. During her fifth year, she was published in the APX annual, The Archi, as an emerging professional in the design field, quickly following with an appointment into the national position of Convention Director only a year after graduating. She held internships at several different types of firms over her college career before finding ANF, having since worked on multiple projects in her desired focus of historical renovation such as Crosstown High School and the boutique Collegiate Hotel in Auburn, AL. She is currently working towards licensure in the architecture world, while also dipping her feet into the interior design aspects of the job.
When she’s not working, Emma Kate is usually traveling. Whether it’s across the country for the annual APX national convention she planned or across the ocean for a summer trip with her dad, she is a jet-setter and that will never change! Occasionally, you might run into her at the Orpheum at her favorite shows or even on the Greenline training for a race – #StJudeHero; however, you will probably never see her turn down the chance to snag an extra bag of chips from a lunch & learn or grab a colorful cocktail with friends.
