Leigh, a graduate of the University of Memphis, holds a B.F.A in Interior Design and a B.A. in Marketing Management. As a student, she worked as an Interior Design Intern for ANF Architects (2012-2014) and officially joined the firm in October of 2016 as an Interior Designer/Project Coordinator after working as a designer in Fort Worth, TX.
How did you arrive at ANF Architects? What path brought you here?
I started out as a summer intern and luckily ANF decided to keep me around for a couple years. After graduating, I had a two year stint in Texas (where I grew up) and then Memphis lured me back in 2016.
Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them?
I worked for Huckabee Architects in Fort Worth, Texas designing K-12 schools. It was very educational, pun intended.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
I love how ANF is a huge promoter of the arts community in Memphis. We always have unique pieces hanging in the gallery downstairs. How many people can say they have an art gallery in their office?!
Hobbies and interests?
I like to travel, explore new local restaurants, decorate, craft, and preferably drink wine while doing any of the above.
Any hidden talent(s)?
I’m really good at guessing song titles/artists.
Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about?
I recently volunteered through my church with a Refugee Resettlement organization.
Most important lesson learned:
Try to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. People are often too quick to judge others.
