Opening in 2007, the Levitt Shell has been a huge success! Nowhere else in Memphis can friends and families come to hear 50 free musical performances while enjoying a picnic supper brought in their own cooler.

So successful is the Levitt Shell, that in 2015 the Levitt Board decided to improve and expand the existing amenities. ANF is helping Levitt Shell add these amenities and improve their visitor experience by adding several new features. Where the parking lot now stands, a new food court will hold three food trucks, as well as a converted Memphis trolley for retail and beverage sales. A new grass area with picnic tables be provided as well.
Also being added is a new loading dock and storage building on the north side, new toilets for the sponsors at the top on the hill, and three new sponsor areas on wood decks. All these new amenities will be ADA-accessible with ramps and festive outdoor lighting. Large LED screens will be added with a much-improved directional sound system. Additionally, new stage lighting poles with directional lighting have been added. The work for this renovation started in October 2015 and will be complete on May 25th, just in time for the summer concert series in 2016.
