FedEx 180K Facility & Green Hub

Image: Paradigm Marketing & Creative

ANF Architects designed the 129,000 square foot package sorting facility at FedEx's Memphis Hub. The building has received LEED© SILVER Certification and incorporates sustainable design elements, such as passive ventilation and natural daylighting, to help improve employee satisfaction and productivity. The second floor shops and offices are designed to allow employees to visually connect with the exterior aircraft gates as well as the interior sort system bays. Environmentally accountable materials and energy efficient technologies were used to construct the project. The facility is almost 1,000 feet long and is located on a tightly constricted site next to an active aircraft taxi lane. Multiple exterior doors provide easy access to FedEx ground support equipment, which helps speed package sorting and loading.
