The first building of its kind for FedEx, the pictured Fort Lauderdale Distribution Facility for Air/Ground Freight Services serves the east Florida coast. The design combines air-related freight with domestic ground freight services in one building and houses offices, a package sorting warehouse, truck/van dock interface, truck wash, and a maintenance facility. After the construction of the first FedEx AGFS facility, ANF provided design and management services to FedEx and FedEx Express on multiple distribution facilities for air-ground freight across the country. Services for these projects ranged from full design and documentation to "bridging documents" which allow developers to bid on construction, interest rates, and land cost to ensure FedEx the best value for its investment. Typical facilities include package sorting warehouse, truck/van dock interface, administration and maintenance facilities on twelve-acre sites. Additional AGFS facilities have been constructed in Phoenix, San Jose, Milwaukee, New Orleans, and Minneapolis.
