Over 40 years ago, ANF Architects was founded by Lee Askew III, a native Memphian. Working closely with FedEx and other Memphis corporate clients, Lee found a way to keep his clients happy: listen closely, understand the key issues, and then use innovative design to resolve the issues in their new facility and, of course, monitor the work progress to be sure that their new facility was cost effective, easily maintained, and value based. This business practice has served ANF, and our clients, very well ever since.
During the past 40+ years, ANF has grown to as many as 45 people and added services including Master Planning, Interior Design, Construction Management, Scheduling and Cost estimating. On staff, ANF now has 11 LEED accredited professionals and a Virtual Reality Studio. ANF is a leader in this region in Sustainable Design, Facility Assessments, Building Information Management (BIM), Adaptive Reuse, and Fast-track Construction.
But we are most proud of our commitment to the Memphis community. Our office has become a hub of community activity and we have helped non-profits raise significant funds by offering our gallery/ office for parties, receptions, fund raisers, lectures, meetings, and concerts. These non-profits include: St. Jude, Boys and Girls Club, International Children's Heart Foundation, Autism Society, The RiverArtsFest and many others. In addition, the ANF Gallery hosts six Art Exhibits each year, featuring the art of regional artists.
ANF Architects is a certified Local Small Business and a registered Small Business Enterprise with the City of Memphis. Recipient of numerous Design Awards, we were also named by Architectural Record as one of America’s Best Managed Architectural Firms, citing our innovative management practices and exceptional ability to provide a broad range of services to clients.
