In laying out the master plan for this overflowing parish church, the design team created a plan that recognizes historical tradition while working with the contemporary congregation. Visible from the road, the main church is integrated into the wooded site which provides a peaceful, spiritual retreat. This design approach centers around the concept that upon entering the church site, the visitor begins a literal and metaphorical journey. A path from perimeter parking lots through the cluster of family life center, existing trees and education building leads visitors physically from the secular world to the spiritual atmosphere inside the worship space. The master plan also provides for the orderly addition of a multipurpose building, secondary site access, bell tower and administrative facilities.
