Collegiate Hotel

Location:

Auburn, AL

ANF Architects designed the renovation and repurposing of the 21,000 SF historic Wittel Dormitory, originally a girl’s dormitory built in 1941, into a 41 Room boutique hotel. This adaptive reuse project, steeped in history, creates a sense of place, preserving the historic integrity of the building and incorporating reclaimed materials into the design.

In addition to 41 unique guestrooms, hotel amenities include: a historic lobby with a full service bar, a wraparound porch/balcony, and a rooftop terrace with extraordinary views equipped with a full service bar that doubles as a party venue.

The Collegiate Hotel in Auburn is adjacent to the Auburn University campus and enjoys spectacular views of the iconic Samford Hall.

“We believe in respecting the history of the building and the context of the place,” Kim Wirth, owner. This noble philosophy is apparent in The Collegiate Hotel, formerly the Wittel Dormitory - read the full article about the success of Auburn's first boutique hotel here: http://cadc.auburn.edu/construction/news/view/614
