The Ground Floor of the two story building houses the Band Room, Percussion Hall, Choir Rehearsal Hall, teaching and practice rooms, Lecture Halls, Administration as well as the University’s Concert Hall and Theatre. The north end of the building, with a floor level eight feet below the Lobby level, houses the Scene Shop, Prop Storage and the new Acting Classroom with its own building entrance and Lobby. The Second Floor includes Practice Rooms, Classrooms, Studios for 2-D Design, Graphic Design Painting & Drawing as well as Dance and Administration. The Art Studios are oriented to the north to control natural light. An Art Gallery, at the center of the building, is lit from a roof-top light monitor. The exterior materials, primarily brick, cast stone and metal panels, relate to the existing campus buildings in color and detail; banded walls create a unique and distinctive look for the structure.
