FedEx War Room

ANF Architects designed this 2000 square foot project consisting of the creation of a new Communications War Room and adjacent Media Room for Fed Ex as well as the expansion of an existing FXTV Studio . Being the backdrop for studio broadcasts, a clean lined, modern design was implemented within the War Room. Built-ins blend with paneling to create a seamless aesthetic. State of the art technology such as remote operated cameras and LCD panels had to be fully integrated into the design while maintaining the rooms high profile aesthetic. LCD panels were recessed into cherry wood veneer panels while remote operated cameras were tucked away in custom wood niches. A fully wired articulating conference table opens for video conferencing and closes for dialogue. Because of the sensitive nature of communications within the space, acoustics were a priority concern for the project. Double stud wall construction as well as fabric wrapped acoustical panels were utilized to minimize sound transmittance.
