At FPA Brownlee, a 135,000 SF Middle and High School, we used design strategies that were bold yet budget friendly. Purposeful material selections such as surplus carpet remnants were utilized to create colorful classroom floors while pops of FPA’s robust school colors of blue and orange were incorporated into the walls and flooring to enhance wayfinding. The main entry was enhanced with a new modern metal façade reflecting FPA’s contemporary educational approach. Spaces were thoughtfully reconfigured, often serving dual purposes, economizing square footage and budget.
